Caroline Goldberg Igra is a freelance writer, an art historian, and a triathlete. She lives in Tel Aviv, Israel, but hails from Philadelphia. She received a Ph.D. in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, after studying at Brown University and the University of Michigan. Among her art historical publications is a monograph on the Polish artist J.D. Kirszenbaum, which was chosen as one of Slate Magazine's Best Books in 2013. Her creative nonfiction has been featured in several literary journals, including the Jewish Book Council's PB Daily and Collateral. Her first book, Count to a Thousand, was published in 2018, and her second, From Where I Stand, in 2022. Her third novel, Pictures of My Desire, was published in October 2025.
